City of Sin

As we drove through "bat country" in the unbearable heat, it occurred that we were in for more than we had bargained for. Who the hell goes to Vegas in mid-June? um. We do! We pull up to erie purple lights of The Rio and immediately settled into our comp'd suite for the night. As usual the weed is the first thing that's unpacked just to be quickly packed again(if you dont get it..... obviously youre not a golfer) and after a few loads we head down to the tables. Mind you that the WSOP is being held at The Rio so all of the minimums had been raised, so we opted for the Mafia Style Casino next door...

As we walked into the Gold Coast Casino we were instantly engulfed with the smell of menthol cigarettes and musky cologne. Just were we belonged! Our group of 6 automatically crowded the Craps table intimidating other degenerates at the table causing them to get up and leave. As soon as our first guy got the dice it was on. Roll after roll we're hitting our #'s and ordering drinks all while keeping great relations with all the employees working our table. With it time to go to our show, we are all up over $150 and are amping on our whole situation thus far...

We get to The Venue around 11pm thinking that we go on at MIdnight....Wrong!! AFter the support band finishes and we set up our gear, we hit the stage at 2am! Never ever have i seen people still walking into the bar at 2am wanting to still see live music, Except for in Vegas. People were coming in and out of the place till we ended at 330am!

NO SLEEP of course. Straight back to the table to be not as lucky as we were earlier... then straight to the pool for a quick lounge before we have to check into a new hotel and set up for The Private Luau we were playing the next night.

Pull up to The Santa Fe Station in North Las Vegas which wasnt bad at all, besides they took all the money we had previously won from The Rio... and plus we had 2 rooms this night so we would all be guaranteed a bed! Always a plus! Everyone showered and we headed off to the Luau.

We were greeted with such insane hospitality! All the best food you could ever eat, Kahlua Pork, Shoyu Chicken, Mac Salad, ride and the best of it all, a never-ending cooler of ice-cold Heineken's that was perfectly positioned right next to the stage!
After announcing we were having a contest on who could drink the most Heiny's the race began. Im sure we killer 100 beers between 6 people in about 3 hours. All starting with dan singing an acoustic song he wrote when we was 13 about a chick fucking his chick. Ya bet youd like to hear how that one goes.... Lets just say all in all great times, from what we remember. And the host of the party couldnt have treated us better!

On our way back to good ole CA, we again encounter the problem of being crammed into our heatbox of a van, some lying on the floor right next to the engine while others are sprawled out trying to fit into a comfy posish! We get a flat tire... Being the lazy band we are i expected this was going to be some serio DRAMA, ya dig? Nope. Everyone jumped out of the car and did whatever they could to help out! Tire was successfully changed within 10 mins and we were off.. We well off to sit in traffic for the next 4 hours, but at least we were able to sit in traffic, and not on the side of the road to become a hollowed out cows skull.

We came back bruised, banged up, and sleep deprived. But Alive!

Hope to see all your Fans at a show soon....
